MISSION

"The Independent Police Department" is an initiative to empower citizens of the USA to have another option when in need of assistance. This initiative solely runs on donations by the American citizens to properly serve and protect their community.

THE INDEPENDENT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Are you scared of local law enforcement? Do you find yourself trying to avoid your hometown police all together? Would you like to have another option if you find yourself in trouble? If you call us for assistance:

1. We will not arrest you.
2. We will de-escalate the situation.
3. We will always be friendly and courteous.
4. We will always wear body cameras. Our cameras do not provide an 'off switch' so all footage will be captured on video. All video footage will be available via our website within 24 hours.  If you do not wish the video be made public on our website - we will only provide you with the video.
5. If requested by you, we will disclose all video footage on our website of the specific encounter - not just the video footage we want the public to see.
6.  We won't provide the media with the captured footage - unless it is requested by you and you wish for the media to have it.  We believe that any encounters with authorities should remain private.
7. We will always provide our names and badge numbers when called upon.
8. We will be ready to defend you if you call us with a concern of burglary, domestic violence or assault. All of our employees are legally holding a conceal carry permit.
9. If you feel that your rights may be violated or you feel threatened by your local PD, we will arrive on scene to record your interaction with the law enforcement officer(s) and inform you of your rights.
10. All of our "Independent" officers undergo a vigorous and thorough psychological evaluation before they are employed within our department.
11. We do random drug screens of all our employees.  We test for anabolic steroids, amphetamines, benzodiazepines, cocaine, PCP, and opioids.  We do NOT test for marijuana.

-Failure by any of our employees to turn on their body camera at the beginning of their shift will result in a one year UNPAID suspension. A second offense will result in termination.

-Failure to provide name and badge number will result in a one year UNPAID suspension. A second offense will result in termination.

*Our mission will start in two cities. The cities that we select will be based on the donations that we receive:

1. The city that provides the highest number of donations.
2. The city that provides the highest amount in dollars of donations.
3. Failure to raise the $500,000 goal for our campaign ($250,00 for each city) will result in a refund of ALL contributions we receive from the public. Your credit card will NOT be charged.

We are non-government affiliated and a non-governmental organization (NGO). We do not in anyway receive funding or support from the federal, state, or county governmental agencies.
